You can have subscription shipping rates pulled in from your Shopify shipping plans or set up a shipping plan in Stay Ai. Shipping plans in Stay will only apply to subscriptions. If you do not plan to use different pricing for one-time and subscription orders, we do not recommend setting up a subscription shipping profile.
If you are creating a shipping plan in Stay, please make sure that you include all zones you ship to, including international countries.
For example, if you ship to the US, Canada, and the UK, you must set up a shipping rate for each of these regions, but they should all be in one shipping plan. If you only set a shipping rate for the US, customers in Canada and the UK will not be able to check out with a subscription.
How To Set Up A Shipping Plan in Stay
Navigate to “Subscription Setup” > “Shipping Plans” > “New shipping plan.”
Select the selling plans the shipping plan should apply to. Select all locations that should apply to the shipping plan. This is where your product is shipped from. Click the pink text "Next" button.
NOTE: Selling plans can only apply to one shipping plan. Adding a selling plan here will remove it from any previously selected shipping plan. If you are only setting up one shipping plan for all subscriptions, select all of your selling plans.
Add a shipping zone. Select “Worldwide Shipping” if you would like the shipping plan to apply to all countries and/or provinces. Otherwise you will need to manually select the countries and/or provinces that this shipping plan should apply to.
NOTE: Worldwide shipping will be selected by default. If Worldwide Shipping is deselected and you have not manually entered shipping rates for a country or province, customers from that country will not be able to check out with a subscription.
Designate the shipping method name and the price for shipping. You can add conditions based on price or weight.
NOTE: Shopify allows customers to choose their shipping tier at checkout, but it will automatically revert to the cheapest shipping option for recurring orders.
If you chose a specific country and/or province in Step 3, continue the process for all of the countries and/or provinces you ship to by hitting the pink "add Zone" button in the bottom left corner. If there is no rate selected for a country, customers will not be able to check out with a subscription.
Click Create Plan.
