It is proven that the fewer steps a customer has to take to accomplish a desired task, the more likely they are to follow through. Utilizing Klaviyo Quick Actions is a great way to streamline actions your customers can take on their subscriptions, therefore increasing take rate. You can use Quick Actions to ease the process of upselling/cross-selling, guide churned customers towards reactivation, apply a special discount, and more!

This article will provide the most common use-cases and best practice tips for implementing Klaviyo Quick Actions in your email flows and campaigns.

Where to Build Klaviyo Quick Action URLs

To get started, open your Stay app, and navigate to Tools > Klaviyo Quick Actions. This is where you will see all the available Quick Actions. Clicking on a Quick Action will populate the URL builder at the bottom of the page.

Quick Actions pertaining to the action of adding a product and/or applying a discount (e.g. Add Item, Add Item and Apply Discount, Reactivate and Apply Discount) will require you to replace the placeholders with the product variant ID and/or Shopify discount code.

All other Quick Actions are ready for you to copy and paste into your Klaviyo emails!

Looking to use Quick Actions in Flow emails? You have the option to target subscriptions in the Quick Action! When you select the checkbox "Target Subscription ID (Used in Flows)", a dynamic subscription ID variable is added at the end of the URL (see screenshot below). This means the Quick Action will target and apply to the subscription that triggered the flow for that customer. This skips the step that requires the customer to select the subscription they want the Quick Action applied to. Targeting the subscription ID can be used for flow emails but is not required. It cannot be used for campaign emails.
